Indiana Set to Conclude Regular Indoor Season at Alex Wilson Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— Indiana Track & Field will hit the road on Saturday, Feb. 16 for their final meet of the regular indoor season. The Hoosiers will compete in the Alex Wilson Invite hosted by the University of Notre Dame inside the Loftus Sports Complex. Princess Brinkley and Alexis Hill will kick off the meet for Indiana as they compete in the women's weigh throw at 11 a.m. EST.

Admission to the Alex Wilson Invite is free to the public. Parking will be available in the Joyce Center, Compton Ice Arena, Library, or Bulla lots.

Schedule of Events
Saturday's meet with consist of 17 events—11 track events and six field events.
Order of field events—Weight throw, shot put, pole vault, long jump, and triple jump.
Order of track events—60m hurdles (prelims), 60m dash (prelims), DMR, 400m, 60m hurdles (finals), 60m (finals), mile, 800m, 200m, 3000m, 4x400 relay.
Ready, Set, Break Records
It was another record setting weekend for the Hoosiers as they competed in three meets over the weekend. Princess Brinkley broke a school record at Hoosiers Hills on Friday night in the weight throw after notching a distance of 21.53m (70' 7.75"). Ben Veatch (5000m), Maggie Allen (5000m), Kyle Mau (mile), Kelsey Harris (800m) and Haley Harris (mile) all captured new PR's in their events at the Iowa State Classic. Leah Moran and Eric Bethea saw success at the Tyson Invite where they both nabbed PRs in the triple jump. Moran jumped a distance of 13.02m (42' 8.75") while Bethea saw a distance of 16.38m (53' 9").
Keeping Up with the Hoosiers
After breaking the school record, the men's DMR team currently holds the fastest time in the NCAA so far this season. The Hoosiers ran a time of 7:29.30. Both the men's and women's 4x800 relays squads also hold national leading spots. The women's team consisting of Hannah Stoffel, Bailey Hertenstein, Jenna Barker, and Haley Harris nabbed a time of 8:54.20 at the Gladstein Invite. On the men's side, Joe Murphy, Ben Veatch, Daniel Michalski, and Kyle Mau saw a time of 7:33.42 also at the Gladstein Invite.
Rikkoi Brathwaite and Zubin Muncherji have seen success saw far in their college careers, but also have had success in their home countries. Brathwaite is a native of the British Virgin Islands and now holds the country's record in the 60-meter with a time of 6.68. Muncherji calls Singapore home and holds four records in various events including the 200m (22.60), 400m (47.82), 500m (1;04.38), and 600m (1:21.99).
Climbing the Rankings
The men's team cracked the top-10 in the USTFCCCA Indoor Ratings Index on Feb. 11. Indiana saw a ranking of 10th which is the highest they have been ranked this indoor season.
In the regional rankings, the men's squad remained on top of the Great Lakes region. The women's team came in at No. 2 as Ohio State controls the top the of the women's Great Lakes Region.
