Hoosiers Fall at Tennessee

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 match on the road at receiving votes Tennessee on Friday.
In doubles Tennessee won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to take the doubles point. The Hoosiers (6-3) battled closely at No. 3 with a 4-3 lead. The match was stopped at 5-4.
Even after Tennessee won two singles matches to go up 3-0, the Hoosiers battled back.
Natalie Whalen won her first set 7-6 with a 7-3 tie breaker. After dropping her first set Somer Henry came back to lead 5-3 in the second set.
Jelly Bozovic won her first set 6-4, but dropped set two, 6-3. Bozovic had match points at 5-4 and 6-5, but the match went to a tie breaker. Bozovic showed resiliency and won the tie breaker 8-6 to win her match.
Up next the Hoosiers travel to No. 23 Kentucky for a match on Sunday Feb. 17 at 11:00 a.m.
