A Look at the Knights
Although UCF's record is 0-4, its schedule has not been friendly. The season started with three road/neutral site matches, including one against No. 10 Stanford. Last week, the Knights played host to No. 4 Florida, where they fell 6-1.
The Knights have two players in the singles rankings, Gabriel Decamps at No. 17 and
Alan Rubio at No. 122.
These two teams faced off last year in Orlando, Fla. with UCF winning 4-0.
A Look at the Sun Devils
Sunday's battle between the Hoosiers and Sun Devils is the first in program history.
In the latest team rankings put out by the ITA, Arizona State was not included in the Top 25 but received votes.
Like UCF, the Sun Devils have had a tough schedule, falling to No. 1 Wake Forest and No. 20 Oklahoma State in back-to-back matches.
Before coming to Bloomington, they will make a stop in Columbus to face the No. 2 ranked Buckeyes on Friday night.
The Sun Devils have one ranked singles player in Nathan Ponwith at No. 65 and two ranked doubles pairs with Tim Ruehl/Andrea Bolla (No. 26) and Nathan Ponwith/Dominik Kellovsky (No. 36).
Last Week Recap
Last weekend, the Hoosiers were set to host Wright State and Middle Tennessee in a Friday doubleheader. Because of bad weather in the Ohio area, the match versus Wright State was cancelled. That night, IU defeated Middle Tennessee, 4-3 after the doubles win and singles wins from Bennett Crane, Vikash Singh, and Andrew Redding.
Hoosiers in The Rankings
For the first time since November, ITA released an updated rankings. In the singles section, junior Bennett Crane was ranked No. 111.
