Hoosiers Start Five Match Road Swing

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team continues Big Ten action with their next five matches on the road, starting this week at Nebraska and Iowa.
Dedicating the Season in Loving Memory of Harrison & Shelby
The Indiana women's tennis team is dedicating the season in memory of Harrison & Shelby, kids of IU women's tennis alum Stephanie Reece. The Hoosiers will wear a special patch on their uniforms in their memory.

Last Time Out
Last time out the Hoosiers played their most complete match of the Big Ten slate with a 5-2 win against Michigan State. After getting the doubles point, the Hoosiers won four of six first sets in singles. After MSU got the first point in singles, the Hoosiers got the next three with wins from Madison Appel, Somer Henry and Michelle McKamey to clinch the match. Natalie Whalen added the fifth point for the Hoosiers.

Senior Natalie Whalen leads the Hoosiers with a 21-5 overall singles record, including 14-3 in dual matches. Whalen is 3-1 in singles in Big Ten dual matches. Whalen has teamed up with Caitlin Bernard to go 22-5 in doubles overall and 13-4 in dual matches. Madison Appel and Jelly Bozovic have posted a record of 17-7 in doubles.
Senior Day
Following the road trip, which includes matches at Nebraska, Iowa, Purdue, Penn State and Ohio State, the Hoosiers return home for their final two matches of the regular season. Indiana will host Rutgers on April 20 and senior day will be April 21 against Maryland.
