Hoosiers Start Road Trip with 5-2 win over Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Indiana women's tennis team opened their road trip with a 5-2 win over Nebraska on Friday.
The Hoosiers (13-7, 3-2) have now won three of their last four matches.
Although Nebraska (8-13, 0-5) struck first when they claimed the doubles point, Indiana was not deterred.
Jelly Bozovic put the Hoosiers on the board with a straight set, 6-4, 6-3 win and Madison Appel rebounded from dropping her first set to win the next two and put Indiana on top 2-1 in the overall match.
Caitlin Bernard and Michelle McKamey showed resiliency in winning three-set matches to clinch the overall match for Indiana and put them up 4-2.
Natalie Whalen won the last match, up 3-2 in the third set when Nebraska retired.
Up next the Hoosiers continue their road trip at Iowa on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. ET.
