Bloomington, Ind. – The Indiana men's tennis team (7-6, 2-0) will be tested this weekend when it hosts a ranked opponent in Texas Tech and travels to play a Top-15 team in the Fighting Illini of Illinois.

Last Week Recap
IU built off its win over Purdue on Feb. 23 by gaining a ranked win over the No. 41 Northwestern Wildcats and Washington Huskies. The 4-2 win over the Wildcats was the first time since 2012 in which IU beat NW. In the victory, Antonio Cembellin (No. 1), Bennett Crane (No. 2), Zac Brodney (No. 4), Andrew Redding (No. 5), and Vikash Singh (No. 6) won at singles.
On Sunday, the Hoosiers won the doubles point over Washington and followed with three straight singles win to grab a 4-0 victory.
Season Recap
Indiana has wins this year over Ball State, Toledo, Ole Miss, Middle Tennessee State, Purdue, No. 41 Northwestern, and Washington but has dropped matches to Dartmouth, No. 7 UCLA, UCF, Arizona State, Drake, and Utah State.

A Look at the Red Raiders
• The No. 32 Red Raiders are coming off of wins over Big Ten foes Iowa and Nebraska last weekend.
• TTU has faced five ranked teams this year and has wins over No. 14 Texas A&M and No. 19 Tulane. Other wins have come against Bryant, Tulsa, Lamar, New Mexico, and Rice.
• In the latest ITA rankings, Texas Tech has Parker Wynn at No. 108 and in doubles, Wynn and Bjorn Thomson are the No. 6 pair in the country.
• The Hoosiers and Red Raiders were both in Boston this past fall for the Chowder Fest Invite.
• Last season in Lubbock, Texas, No. 24 TTU beat IU 5-2. Wins for the Hoosiers came in singles from Antonio Cembellin and Bennett Crane.
A Look at the Fighting Illini
• Before hosting the Hoosiers, the No. 15 ranked Illini will host Northwestern. Although 5-5 as of March 7, Illinois has wins over No. 11 Notre Dame, No. 7 UCLA, and No. 19 Tulane.
• This past weekend, the Illini lost to No. 7 Baylor and No. 12 TCU on the road.
• IU hosted Illinois, No. 7 at the time, on March 23, 2018 and fell 5-2. Zac Brodney took a singles win in the match.
• In the ITA singles rankings, Illinois has three students ranked, Aleksandar Kovacevic at No. 14, Alex Brown No. 33, and Zeke Clark at No. 113.
