Hoosiers Ready for National Stage at NCAA Indoor Championships

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— Indiana Track & Field will conclude their indoor season on NCAA's biggest stage at the Indoor Track & Field Championships. Eight Hoosiers and 2 DMR squads are set to compete on Mar. 8 & 9 in Birmingham, Ala. inside the CrossPlex.
Schedule of Events
This weekend will consist of 16 events. 10 track events and six field events.
Friday's track schedule of events— Mile (prelims), 60m hurdles (prelims), 400 (prelims) 60m (prelims), 800m (prelims), 200m (prelims), 5000m (finals), DMR (final).
Friday's field schedule of events— Shot put (women's), long jump (men's), pole vault (men's), long jump (women's), shot put (men's)
Saturday's track events—Mile (final), 60m hurdles (final), 400 (final), 60m (final), 800m (final), 200m (final), 3000m (final), 4x400 relay (final).
Saturday's field events— High jump (men's & women's), weight throw (men's), triple jump (women's), pole vault (women's), weight throw (women's), triple jump (men's).
Men's Heptathlon events—60m, long jump, shot put, high jump, 60m hurdles, pole vault, 1000m.
Women's Pentathlon events—60m hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump, 800m.
Meet Information
ESPN3 will be the home of championships with the live stream starting at 6:30 p.m. ET on Friday, Mar. 8 and starting at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday, Mar. 9.

Eight Hoosiers will compete individually while the No. 4 and No. 6 relay squads will compete in the distance medley relay.

Keeping Up with the Hoosiers
After breaking the school record, the men's DMR team currently holds the No. 4 fastest time in the NCAA so far this season. The Hoosiers ran a time of 7:29.30. On the women's side, Haley Harris, Natalie Price, Kelsey Harris, and Katherine Receveur recorded the fifth fastest time in the country with a time of 10:57.76 in the regular season finale at the Alex Wilson Invite.
Rikkoi Brathwaite and Zubin Muncherji have seen success saw far in their college careers, but also have had success in their home countries. Brathwaite is a native of the British Virgin Islands and now holds the country's record in the 60-meter with a time of 6.68. Muncherji calls Singapore home and holds four records in various events including the 200m (22.60), 400m (47.82), 500m (1;04.38), and 600m (1:21.99).
In the Rankings
In the final USTFCCCA Indoor Rating Index of the season, the Indiana men's team remained to hold down the No. 11 spot for the third week in a row.
Heading into NCAA Championships weekend, the men's squad holds the top spot in the Great Lakes Region while the women are ranked No. 2. On the women's side, Big Ten foe Ohio State controls the top spot after a strong performance at Big Ten's.
