Two Boats To Petite Finals For Indiana Rowing At NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Rowing will send two boats to the Petite Finals and have chances to make record marks in the Second Varsity 8 and Varsity Four boats as it wrapped up competition on Day Two of the NCAA Championships on Saturday at Eagle Creek.

KEY MOMENTS

Both of IU's 2V8 and V4 boats will have chances for top 10 finishes in tomorrow's Petite Final which will award 7^th-12^th place. Indiana is looking to repeat as a top 10 finish in the Varsity 4, which placed 10^th a year ago in Sarasota.
The Varsity 4 finished Saturday's second A/B semifinal in sixth with a time of 7:51.065.
IU's Second Varsity 8 boat will also look to make it a program best finish, trying to best its 11^th place finish in 2013-14. The Hoosiers will race in the Petite Final on Sunday after finishing in sixth in its A/B semifinal with a time of 7:11.462.
Indiana finished third to help advance itself to the C Final in tomorrow's First Varsity 8 race. The Hoosiers came in just two strokes behind Harvard to finish with a time of 6:51.421 in the C/D semifinal to close out the morning of racing at Eagle Creek State Park
