Hoosiers Net Second Golden Goal of the Weekend on Maher’s Game-Winner

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – For the second time in an as many games, No. 2 Indiana Men's Soccer netted a golden goal as the Hoosiers defeated UCLA on Monday at Bill Armstrong Stadium, 2-1. Sophomore Jack Maher scored the winner in the 104th minute.
KEY MOMENTS
• The Bruins struck first as Marcony Pimentel found the back of the net in the 53rd minute off the assist from Milan Iloski.
• Indiana equalized just five minutes later as freshman Victor Bezerra picked up a deflection off after an IU free kick was sent deep into the box. The ball went off the head of a UCLA defender and bounced to Bezerra, who collected the ball and sent it past the diving keeper from 19 yards out.
• The game-winner came off an Indiana corner kick as Spencer Glass served the ball into the near post, finding Daniel Munie whose touch eventually landed at the feet of Maher. Maher one-time it in with his right foot.
NOTABLES
• This is the first time the Hoosiers have won back-to-back double overtime games since doing so in the 2004 College Cup against Maryland and UC-Santa Barbara.
• Both Hoosier goals were career firsts for Bezerra and Maher.
• Goalkeeper Sean Caulfield had four saves.
• Monday's game was originally scheduled for Sunday evening but was postponed due to inclement weather.
• Indiana remains undefeated in the team's last 28 matches at Bill Armstrong Stadium, posting a mark of 26-0-2.
