Hoosiers Fall In Big Fourth Quarter By Buckeyes

Bloomington, Ind.— Indiana Field Hockey fell at home on Sunday to Big Ten opponent Ohio State, 6-2. Senior captain Kelsey Giese scored both Hoosier goals in the contest.

- Freshman Sarah Charley scored the first goal of the game in the 36th minute to give the buckeyes the first lead of the game.
- Indiana answered back with a goal of their own in the 44th minute by Giese that was assisted by sophomore Mary Kate Kesler.
- Giese nearly gave the Hoosiers the lead in the 45th minute on a breakaway but her shot was saved by sophomore goalie Aaliyah Hernandez.
- Ohio State retook the lead and added to it in the 49th and 52nd minutes with goals from freshman Mackenzie Allessie and sophomore Jessica Hourihane.
- Giese put the Hoosiers back in the game in the 54th minute with a goal that was assisted by sophomore Hailey Couch.
- Allessie put the game out of reach in the 56th minute on an unassisted goal.
- Junior Niki Trzaska and Hourihane added goals for Ohio State to extend their lead in the 57th and 60th minutes.

- With the loss, Indiana falls to 4-5 on the season and 1-2 in the Big Ten.
