Hoosiers Set for ITA Kick-Off Weekend

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– The Indiana men's tennis team will be one of 60 teams participating in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend January 24-27 at various sites around the country. The Hoosiers will travel to Austin, Texas, where they will square off against No. 1 Texas and either No. 26 Florida State or No. 32 Vanderbilt.
The winner of the single elimination between Indiana, Texas, Florida State and Vanderbilt will advance to the National Indoor Championship in Madison, Wis., Feb. 14-17.
The Hoosiers will face Texas on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. ET and either Florida State or Vanderbilt on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
A look at the Longhorns
Texas is 2-0 on the season. The Longhorns beat then No. 1 Florida, in Gainsville, 5-2 in their first dual match of the season. The other team Texas won against is SMU, who they beat 6-1 on Jan. 18 in Dallas.
Last Year at ITA Kick-Off
Last year the Hoosiers traveled to Los Angeles, Calif., where they fell, 4-1 against No. 7 UCLA and rebounded for a 4-2 win over Ole Miss.

2018-19 Season in Review
The Hoosiers finished 14-12 overall and 6-5 in Big Ten matches. Senior Antonio Cembellin earned All-Big Ten First Team Honors.
Crane Finishes Runner-Up at ITA Regional Championships
Senior Bennett Crane defeated the No. 1 seed on his way to a runner-up finish at the ITA Regional Championships. With his finish at the regional tournament, Crane qualified for the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.
