Bloomington, Ind. – Indiana University's student-athletes continue to graduate at a record pace according to an NCAA study released today.
The NCAA announced that IU scored a Graduation Success Rate (GSR) of 91 percent, marking the ninth consecutive year that IU Athletics has either established a new record or matched its previous record. This year's report provides the graduation information for the most recent six-year graduating class of student-athletes who entered IU as freshmen in 2013-14.
"We take tremendous pride in all of the academic successes of our student-athletes, but nothing gives us more satisfaction than seeing them earn their Indiana University degrees," said IU Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Scott Dolson. "To either exceed or equal our record score for nine straight years highlights the tremendous work being done by our Academic Services staff as well as our coaches, who never lose sight of the importance of supporting our students in competition and in the classroom. But more than anything, it speaks volumes about our students who put so much into achieving this ultimate goal."
