Hoosiers Head to Arizona for Westbrook Invitational

Peoria, Ariz. – Indiana Women's Golf returns to action on Sunday in the Westbrook Invitational at Westbrook Village Golf Club. The 16-team field will play two rounds on Sunday with a final round slated for Monday.

Eisenhut Earns Best Finish of Young Career
Freshman Anni Eisenhut, who is set to compete in her sixth tournament of the year, is coming off a sixth-place finish at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. She improved in every round, highlighted by a career-best 69 in the final round.
Freshmen Making Early Impression
Along with Eisenhut, fellow freshmen Hanna Tanaka and Valerie Clancy will be suiting up for the Hoosiers as freshmen will make up three of the five team spots. Tanaka is coming off her first appearance with the team in Puerto Rico, while Clancy has competed twice with the team and once as an individual at the Cardinal Classic in Sept., finishing third.
Parsons Named to Team Canada 2020 National Amateur Squad
Parsons is just one of four on the women's squad, which is selected based on objective performance results reviewed by a committee. Most recently, Parsons competed with Team Canada at the 2019 Pan American Games this past summer in Lima, Peru, There, she helped Canada win the first-ever medal in golf with a bronze finish in the team standings. Individually, Parsons finished fifth out of 32 women's golfers with a 72-hole score of 2-over par after rounds of 68-73-75-70. Her opening round 68 gave her the lead after day one and also tied for the low score of the tournament.
Tournament #1 Recap - Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational
The Hoosiers opened the season Sept. 9-10 at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. As a team, Indiana finished in seventh place. Priscilla Schmid tied for second place, finishing 7-under-par. For her efforts, Schmid earned Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week accolades.
Tournament #2 Recap – East-West Match Play
In the two rounds of stroke play action, the Hoosiers tied for fourth place. Mary Parsons led the way as she tied for third place after shooting 3-under-par. Due to a tiebreaker, the team was awarded the fifth seed for one day of match play. The Hoosiers defeated Iowa, 4-1-0 in the lone match play round.
Tournament #3 Recap – Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah
The Hoosiers finished 10th at Medinah on Oct. 7-8. IU was led by Parsons, who tied for 34th and carded a pair of par-72 rounds. Schmid also had a standout performance as she saved the best for last, posting a 2-under-par 70 in the final round.
Tournament #4 Recap – The Landfall Tradition
The Hoosiers ended the fall slate with Schmid earning her first-ever first-place finish, carding an impressive 7-under-par. Her three-round score of 209 matched her career best, set in the season-opening Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational. As a team, the Hoosiers earned another top-10 finish, coming in at seventh.
Tournament #5 Recap – Lady Puerto Rico Classic
Indiana opened its spring schedule Feb. 9-11 in the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. Eisenhut led the way, earning a sixth-place finish a carding a career-best 69 on the final day. The Hoosiers moved up three spots on the final day to finish tied for 12th.
