BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Volleyball forced No. 14 Penn State to a fourth set on Saturday night but eventually fell, 3-1 (24-26, 25-20, 16-25, 22-25).

KEY MOMENTS
• The Hoosiers jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the opening set with a kill by Breana Edwards and Mady Saris followed by a Penn State setting error.
• Down by four at 16-12, Indiana mounted the comeback in part to kills Saris and Edwards. Camryn Haworth also tallied an ace.
• Knotted at 22, an attack and a service error by the Nittany Lions gave Indiana a set point opportunity. Trying to close the door, Penn State stormed back to take the first set, 26-24.
• The Hoosier took command of the second set that started out with a slam from Savannah Kjolhede.
• With Indiana challenging a Penn State touch before the ball went out of bounds, the challenge was successful, and the Hoosiers led, 7-4
• Kjolhede had her second kill of the set that gave Indiana the edge, 13-8.
• Carly Mills served up an ace followed by kills from Kaley Rammelsberg and Edwards forced Penn State to take a timeout with Indiana up 19-16.
• A kill from Kari Zumach set up Indiana for a set point as the Hoosiers went on to win the second set, 25-20.
• Down 15-3 in the third set, Saris and Edwards got the Indiana offense going with a kill apiece.
• Saris tallied another kill late, but Penn State rolled in the third frame and won the set, 25-16.
• In the fourth set, Carly Mills aided the Hoosiers with an ace as the Nittany Lions held the lead, 8-6.
• Edwards found the gap as the frame was tied 22-22. A service error by Indiana and a pair of kills gave the Nittany Lions the set victory, 25-22.

NOTABLES
• Senior outside hitter Breana Edwards raked in a team-leading 18 kills and two blocks.
• Freshman outside hitter Mady Saris had 17 kills and two solo blocks.
• Senior outside hitter Breana Edwards raked in a team-leading 18 kills and two blocks.
• Junior defensive specialist Paula Cerame put up a squad-high 19 digs.

UP NEXT

The Hoosiers will take a trip out east next weekend as they face Rutgers and Maryland. Indiana faces the Scarlet Knight on Friday, October 9 at 7 p.m. before taking on the Terrapins on Saturday, October 10 also at 7 p.m.
