WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Indiana Hoosiers men's golf team are eighth (589; +13) in the team standings after 36 holes at The Williams Cup presented by STITCH Golf® played at the Eagle Point Golf Club on Monday.

CHIP-INS
• Junior Noah Gillard played the most consistent round of any Hoosier in the opening frame and made 15 pars on his way to shooting a 3-over 75. He carded a trio of birdies in the first four holes of the second round to finish the round at an even 72. The Illinois transfer shared the team lead with four birdies during the second 18.

• Senior Mitch Davis converted one birdie in his first round of 6-over 78. Davis shot a 2-under 70 in the second round of play with three birdies scattered throughout the 18 holes.

• Fifth-year senior Ethan Shepherd was the lone Hoosier to break par (71; -1) in the first round that consisted of five total birdies. He made birdie putts on three-straight holes from No. 11-13. The Greenwood, Ind., native shot a 6-over 78 in the second round.

• Sophomore Drew Salyers knocked down birdies on back-to-back during his first round to finish at a 11-over 83. The two-time Big Ten Player of the Week rebounded to convert birdie attempts on four-straight holes in the second round to secure a team-low score of 70 (-2).

• Sophomore Clay Merchant played a pair of birdies on a first-round scorecard of 3-over 75. Merchant tapped in one birdie conversion on his way to an 8-over 80 in the second round.

UP NEXT
