
Hoosiers Fall To Illinois, 3-0

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Volleyball opened its final home weekend with a match against Illinois on Friday night. The Illini proved too much to handle as the Hoosiers dropped the match, 3-0 (22-25, 19-25, 11-25).
KEY MOMENTS
• Camryn Haworth opened the first set with an opening serve ace. The Hoosiers then went on to take a 10-7 lead off a kill from Savannah Kjolhede.
• Despite letting Illinois take the lead, a kill by Mady Saris tied it at 19-19. Saris tallied another slam, but Indiana fell in the opening set, 25-22.
• Kaley Rammelsberg and Kjolhede sent rockets to the floor to capture the Hoosiers' first two points of the second set.
• Down by as much as three, Kjolhede found the gap to tie the frame at 12-12. Rammelsberg and Breana Edwards saw back-to-back kills, but the Illinois attack was too much and the Hoosiers lost the second set, 25-19.
• Letting Illinois out to an 8-3 advantage, a timeout followed by a kill from Kjolhede got Indiana on the board.
• It was all Illinois to finish out the third set as they went on a 5-0 run that led to the Hoosiers dropping the third set, 25-11.

• Senior outside hitter Breana Edwards led the Hoosiers in kills with seven.
• Kaley Rammelsberg, Mady Saris, and Kari Zumach all recorded blocks on Friday night.
• Junior defensive specialist Paula Cerame had a team-high 14 digs.

The Hoosiers remain home as they take on Iowa on Sunday, November 21 at 2 p.m. inside Wilkinson Hall. Sunday's match against the Hawkeyes will serve as senior day for Indiana.
