
IUVB Captures Senior Day Sweep Over Iowa

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Volleyball (10-20, 4-14 Big Ten) celebrated senior day on Sunday with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-17) win over Iowa (5-23, 3-15 Big Ten).
KEY MOMENTS
• Kari Zumach opened the first set of action with a kill. Down 5-3 early, three straight errors by the Hawkeyes gave the Hoosiers the lead, 6-5. Taking a four-point advantage, Morgan Geddes found the gap and forced Iowa to take the timeout as Indiana was up, 15-11.
• The Hoosier attack kept coming as Kaley Rammelsberg recorded a kill out of the break. They saw kills from Breana Edwards and Geddes before Ashley Zulauf served an ace to give Indiana their largest lead, 22-15.
• Savannah Kjolhede tallied Indiana's third ace of the match as the Hoosiers rolled to the 25-17 set one victory.
• Letting Iowa out with the lead, Zumach recorded a kill to tie the second set at 3-3.
• The Hoosiers quickly gained a five point advantage with back-to-back kills from Zumach and Rammelsberg as Iowa called a timeout. Zumach led Indiana out of the timeout with another kill.
• Geddes saw two-straight kills before Kjolhede made it a nine-point game with a kill of her own. Edwards went up for the swipe and tallied the set point as the Hoosiers won the second set, 25-16.
• Zulauf and Edwards got the Hoosiers off on the right foot to start the third set with an ace and a kill.
• Camryn Haworth saw back-to-back aces to put the Hoosiers on top 7-4. It was then followed by a kill from Mady Saris that kept Indiana going.
• Kjolhede found a kill before Iowa committed an attacking error as the Hawkeyes had to call a timeout. Zumach saw Indiana's next two kills as the Hoosiers were out to a 18-11 lead.
• Haworth served up another ace before Edwards and Kjolhede threw down a kill each. Indiana went on to take the third and final set, 25-17.

• Senior right side hitter Kari Zumach led the team on offense with eight kills and a hitting percentage of .471. She also had a team high four blocks
• Setters Camryn Haworth and Brooke Westbeld had 16 assists apiece. Haworth also tied the program record in aces in a three-set match with six.
• Redshirt sophomore outside hitter Ashley Zulauf matched her career high in aces with three.
• Junior defensive specialist Paula Cerame recorded a team high 14 digs. Camryn Haworth was also in double figures digs with 12.
• Indiana matched their season-high in aces with 10. Haworth had six, Zulauf put up three, and Savannah Kjolhede saw one.
UP NEXT
The Hoosiers will conclude the 2021 regular season with a pair of road matches. Indiana will first visit in-state foe Purdue on Friday, November 26 at 6 p.m. They will then take on Wisconsin at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, November 27.
