IU Men’s Golf Heads to Alabama for the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate

MOBILE, Ala. – Indiana men's golf returns to action on Sunday in the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate at Magnolia Grove for the first stroke play event of the year. The Hoosiers are looking to follow up on their win in last week's Big Ten Match Play Championship. The teams will play one round each day with the final round coming Tuesday.

This year will mark the 13th consecutive Mobile Bay Intercollegiate hosted by South Alabama. Indiana will be joined at the event by two other Big Ten squads in Illinois and Michigan.
The first round will tee off at 8:50 a.m. ET off of the No. 1 and No. 10 tees. The Hoosiers will tee off on the No. 1 tee with Ochsenreiter going off of No. 10.
Hoosier Accolades
Following Indiana's win at the Big Ten Match Play Championship, the Hoosiers were named Golfweek's Men's Golf Team of the Week. In addition, junior Harry Reynolds was named Big Ten Men's Golfer of the Week after going 4-0 in Florida. It is the first weekly honor for Indiana since Jake Brown received it in April 2018.
Tournament No. 1 Recap – Big Ten Match Play Championship
The Hoosiers rallied to defeat Iowa, 3-2, in the Big Ten Match Play finals to earn their first title in the event since 2009. IU defeated Wisconsin in the semifinals, 3.5-1.5, and earned 4.5-0.5 victories against both Ohio State and Minnesota on the way to the championship. The event saw the Indiana debuts of freshmen Drew Salyers and Clay Merchent.
