MOBILE, Ala. – Indiana Men's Golf opened play in the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate on Sunday, shooting five-under to sit in fifth place following the opening round. The Hoosiers are led by Mitch Davis, who is currently tied for sixth.

CHIP-INS
• Junior Mitch Davis fired a 3-under-par 69 to end the day tied for sixth place. He shot a 1-under-par 35 on the front nine before knocking a stroke off of that on the back nine. Davis had four birdies on the day.

• Freshmen Clay Merchent and Drew Salyers both ended the day tied for 19^th after carding a 1-under 71. Merchent's best effort came on the back nine, where he was two-under. Salyers had a trio of birdies and was one-under on the front nine.

• Senior Ethan Shepherd and junior Harry Reynolds are both tied for 27 after shooting an even-72. Shepherd carded three birdies on the day, while Reynolds recovered from an early double-bogey on No. 3 to finish the front nine two-under.

• Brock Ochsenreiter, who is competing as an individual, is currently tied for 42^nd after shooting a 74. Ochsenreiter started on No. 10 and put together his best outing after the turn, carding three birdies on No. 4, 5 and 8.
