BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 21-ranked Indiana University women's swimming team heads to the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minn., for the restructured, five-day 2021 Big Ten Championships.

HOOSIERS END SHORTENED 2020-21 SEASON WITH A 4-1 RECORD
The women's team squared off with five Big Ten Conference foes during the abbreviated 2020-21 season. The Hoosiers toppled No. 14 Ohio State (166-134), No. 24 Northwestern (177-117), Purdue (185-115), and Rutgers (252-22), while suffering one setback against No. 9 Michigan (174-126) for a final record of 4-1.

2020 BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
The No. 23-ranked Indiana Hoosiers finished third in the 2020 Big Ten Championships with 964 points. No. 19 Ohio State claimed the team title for the first time since 1986. With a final tally of 1,503.5 points, while No. 5 Michigan finished second with 1,306.5 points.
The third-place finish marked the first time since the 2008 season in which Indiana did not place in the top-2 at the event, but maintained a stretch of 19-of-20 seasons inside the top-3 of the conference meet.
BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
The Hoosiers have won the Big Ten Conference women's swimming championship on six occasions in program history, the third-highest count in the conference. The most recent came during the 2018-19 season. Indiana has finished inside the top-3 in the team standings in each of the last 14 seasons, with 11 championship or runner-up finishes in that span.
