Indiana Falls to Nebraska in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb– Despite a strong effort from the singles positions, the Indiana women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 match to Nebraska to cap off a weekend road trip.

After dropping the doubles point, IU got on the board with an impressive 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles from Mila Mejic.

Alexandra Staiculescu brought the Hoosiers level on points with a straight-set 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.

IU received a hard-fought effort from Annabelle Andrinopoulos at No. 2 singles, but she would ultimately drop the match in three sets.

The Hoosiers will return to action next Sunday when they travel to West Lafayette to take on in-state rival Purdue. The match is set to start at 12:00 p.m. EST.
