Hoosiers Fall Against Minnesota

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana won two of the first three singles matches, but Minnesota came out on top, 5-2 on Sunday at the IU Tennis Center.

Indiana (1-8) battled in doubles as their No. 3 team Caitlin Bernard and Mila Mejic came back from down 5-0 to make it 5-2, but ultimately dropped their match 6-2. Minnesota added a win at No. 1 doubles to earn the doubles point.

Jelly Bozovic and Alexandra Staiculescu won in straight sets early in singles to pull even 2-2 in the team points.

Bernard came back from down 5-1 in her second set to 5-3, but dropped it 6-3 as Minnesota clinched the match.

Up next the Hoosiers will travel to Illinois and Northwestern March 20 and 21.
