TOURNAMENT NOTES
• Just like IU's last event, the Briar's Creek Invitational, the Hoosiers were due to compete in the Clemson Invitational last season before it was canceled due to COVID-19. Indiana did play in the event in back-to-back years in 2017-18 and 2018-19. In 2017-18, then-freshmen Mary Parsons and Priscilla Schmid tied for 19th to lead the Hoosiers to an eighth-place finish. In April 2019, the final round was canceled due to weather. Parsons again competed in the event, meaning this will be her third time at the Reserve at Lake Keowee.
• The field includes 11 teams ranked in the top-50 by Golfstat, including four in the top-25. The Big Ten is well represented this weekend with seven from the conference competing.
• The teams will play one round each day with Friday and Saturday's rounds teeing off in a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Sunday's final round will begin at 9 a.m. The Hoosiers will start from hole No. 4 on Friday.
• The Clemson Invitational is the final event of three straight tournaments in South Carolina for the Hoosiers to begin the season.
Tournament No. 1 Recap – Palmetto Intercollegiate
Indiana opened the season at the Palmetto Intercollegiate Feb. 21-22. Senior Mary Parsons led the way for Indiana as she finished 24th. It marked her 15th career top-25 finish. It marked the first time junior Maddie Dittoe has played in a team event.
Tournament No. 2 Recap – Briar's Creek Invitational
The Hoosiers visited the Golf Club at Briar's Creek March 15-16. Sophomore Valerie Clancy finished tied for 57th. Senior Angela Aung's second round score of 72 was the best for a Hoosier in the event.
