
IUTF Completes Husker B1G Invitational

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Indiana Track & Field finished up the Husker B1G Invite on Saturday night. Hope Purcell and Alyssa Robinson both set personal records in their events.
Rikkoi Brathwaite returned to his normal event where he picked up second and a time of 10.38. Alyssa Robinson also competed in the 100m where she clocked a time of 11.56. She then returned in the 200m where she recorded a new personal record of 23.77 to take silver.
Natalie Price crossed fourth in the 400m with a season-best time of 54.56.
Kelly Mindak led the Hoosiers in the 800m field with a fifth place finish in a time of 2:10.62. Jenna Barker crossed next in sixth with a time of 2:10.89. Joely Pinkston was next in eighth in a time of 2:11.10. Mallory Mulzer, Maria Anderson, and Shynae Deas came in ninth, 10th and 11th to round out the Indiana field. Mulzer had a time of 2:11.49 while Anderson crossed in a time of 2:12.63 while Deas saw a time of 2:12.82.
On the men's side of the 800m, Park Raymond and Nick Couyoumjian finished in third and fourth while Aaron Bennett placed seventh. Raymond secured a time of 1:50.87 while Couyoumjian notched a time of 1:51.22. Bennett nabbed a time of 1:52.19.
The women's 4x100m relay squad consisting of De'Aira Robertson, Natalie Price, Alyssa Robinson, and Moran Snow took ninth with a time of 46.85.
Price, Robinson, Snow, and Anderson combined for a fourth place finish and a time of 3:43.22.
Hope Purcell set a personal best in the heptathlon with 5,102 points. Purcell placed fourth overall.
Leah Moran and Mahogany Jenkins competed in the triple jump on Saturday afternoon. Moran won the event with a mark of 12.99m (42' 7.5") while Jenkins finished in ninth and had a mark of 12.10m (39' 8.5"). With the victory, Moran has won every triple jump competition she has been in so far this season.
The Hoosiers travel to Champaign, Ill. Next weekend where they will participate in the Big Ten Relays. Illinois is set to host the meet on Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24.
