
Hoosiers Wrap Up Day One Of Fighting Illini Big Ten Relays

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Indiana Track & Field completed the first day of the Fighting Illini Big Ten Relays on Friday night. The Hoosiers ended the night with two event wins and two personal records.
Austin Haskett and Alyssa Skorge both came in second in the 3000m steeplechase to kick off the track events for the Hoosiers. Haskett clocked a personal best time of 9:10.86 while Skorge crossed her first career steeplechase in a time of 10:44.10. Mikaela Ramirez placed sixth with a time of 11:03.91.
Christian Goines competed in the 110m hurdles where he a personal record time of 14.75 and came in third in his heat.
Rikkoi Brathwaite won the 100m with a time of 10.65m.
Natalie Price progressed in the 400m where she picked up second place and clocked a time of 54.81.
Shaton Vaughn won his second 400m hurdles of the season where he clocked a time of 51.61.
In the field, Khayla Dawson and Maddy went 4-6 in the discus invite on Friday night. Dawson hit a mark of 51.65m (169' 5") while Pollard saw a distance of 50.73m (165' 3").
The Hoosiers will return to action for the final day of the Fighting Illini Big Ten Relays on Saturday, April 24. The first event for Indiana will begin at 12 p.m. ET.
