KEY MOMENTS
- The Hoosiers picked up wins over No. 20 Syracuse with a pair of third place finishes in the morning sessions in the Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8. The First Varsity 4 raced in a very competitive field as well against three ranked opponents for a fourth-place finish.
- In the afternoon session, teams dealt with choppy waters and some light rain but it didn't seem to bother the Hoosiers as the Novice 8 kicked off competition on a strong start. In a tightly packed race in the first 1,000 meters, the Hoosiers kicked it in gear in and moved ahead of the Hawkeyes to take a five-second victory.
- The First Varsity 8 also picked up a victory over No. 17 Minnesota and Louisville in its second race of the day while the Second Varsity 8 took a lead 500 meters in and didn't look back.
- To cap off the day, the Varsity 4 jumped out to an early lead and maintained great position throughout the final race in Saturday action as it bested Louisville with a time of 7:29.904.
