Head coach Steve Peterson's opening statement
"I am really excited about how the racing went today. It was a beautiful day. I want to thank Minnesota and Michigan State for coming out. This might be the first time that we have swept all the events which is huge. It sets us up well for Big Tens. We tried to use this to work on setting up and establishing our race plan. This was our last dry run on it, and I think people executed well. It should give us confidence moving into Big Tens."
Abigail Bogovich, graduate student
On the weather and the race atmosphere overall…
"We were super hyped to have the weather that we did. That is very rare for a Dale England, but a little wind in the middle thousand was no surprise. It is the spirit of Dale England. It was super exciting to take home the cup for the fourth straight year especially with Dale gone. Honoring his memory was amazing. I thought we put ourselves in a really confident place for Big Tens. We are all really excited to continue to get faster these next couple of weeks and see them again."
On what you saw out of your crew that you really liked..
"We really used this because it is not the last time, we are going to see the crews this season to try going higher and execute a race plan. I thought we really figured some things out and hopefully we will get better for the Big Ten Championships."
On what it was like being back at home competing…
"It was definitely good to be sitting at the starting line of our own race course. We definitely missed it. We love racing against other Big Ten schools and matching up against them."
