Indiana Drops 3-1 Game to Nebraska

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana University baseball team dropped a 3-1 game to Nebraska on Saturday at Bart Kaufman Field in Bloomington, Ind.
With the loss, the Hoosiers fall to 24-15 on the season overall and in Big Ten conference play. The Cornhuskers improve to 28-11 on the year and in league action.
KEY MOMENTS
• RHP McCade Brown (5-3) took the hard-luck loss, allowing just two runs in five innings of work. The righty struck out eight and allowed five hits.
• Out of the bullpen, RHP John Modugno pitched a scoreless seventh inning, striking out a pair.
• RHP Connor Manous had his best outing of the season, pitching two scoreless innings of relief, allowing no hits with four strikeouts.
• Offensively, the Hoosiers were led by OF Grant Richardson, who went 2-for-4 with a home run and a run scored.
• INF James Espalin also had a hit for the Hoosiers.
