BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Cross Country takes a trip up north on Friday, October 1 for the Joe Piane Invitational hosted by Notre Dame. The women's team enters the meet ranked No. 21 while the Hoosier men sit in the 26th spot.

Men's Blue Division (5 miles) – 11:15 a.m.
Women's Open Division (5000m) – 12:00 p.m.
Men's Open Division (5 miles) – 12:45 p.m.
Women's Gold Division (5000m) – 1:30 p.m.
Men's Gold Division (5 miles) – 2:15 p.m.
Competition will be high this weekend with 10 teams on the men's side and 10 teams in the women's field being in the USTFCCCA Top-30 rankings this week. Host school Notre Dame is the highest ranked men's team at No. 2 while Alabama is the highest ranked women's program at No. 6. The Hoosier men checked in at No. 26 and the women are ranked No. 21.
Sarah Schmitt, Hannah Stoffel, Arjun Jha, Ben Veatch, and newcomer Carlos Vilches Ortiz open their 2021 season this weekend at the Joe Piane Invitational.
Last time the Hoosiers were on the course was in Terre Haute, Ind. where they competed in the John McNichols Invitational. Skylar Stidam and Mikaela Ramirez led Indiana as Stidam crossed third overall with a time of 24:28.6 while Ramirez picked up seventh and a time of 17:56.3.
