
Indiana and Ohio Battle Out Individual Matches in A No-Contest

ATHENS, OHIO –––– Indiana Wrestling competed in a no-contest dual at Ohio Tuesday night with only individual scores marked and no team scores recorded.
Due to COVID-19 protocol, only six weight classes, and two extra matches at 125 and 184 lbs., participated in individual bouts. The 157, 174, 197, and 285 weight classes did not participate.
KEY MOMENTS
• Graduate student Brock Hudkins set the tone early in the battle of 133 lbs., beating Giovanni DiSabato comfortably in a 6-2 decision.
• Redshirt Sophomore Donnell Washington cruised against Ohio's Zayne Lehman, earning a major decision victory, 15-6.
• In an extra match, Freshman Noah Gochberg didn't allow a point and fought a tight battle to finish off a 2-0 win by decision.
NOTABLES
• With Hudkins and Washington winning, the two both remain undefeated on the season on a combined 15-0 record (Hudkins: 5-0, Washington 10-0).
• Washington's win was his first by major decision this season.
• The win for Gochberg was the second overall of his young career.
• Today's matchup with Ohio was the first between the two programs since 1926.
