BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Following a quick trip to Iowa last weekend, the Indiana Volleyball team 9-9 (2-4) will return to Wilkinson Hall for a pair of important matches in the middle of the Big Ten season.
The Hoosiers, having lost three-straight matches, are looking for the first win over rivals Purdue since a win in Bloomington in 2012.
IU has won two of last three against Michigan State including the only matchup last season, a straight-set victory inside Wilkinson Hall.
In the final 14 matches of the regular season, the Hoosiers are set to play eight teams currently ranked inside the top-25 including a pair of matches with the Boilermakers and trips to Nebraska, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
With the absence of Morgan Geddes and Kaley Rammelsberg, Mady Saris has been given an increased workload and has continued to provide a big punch to the IU offense.
She owns 240 kills this year to go along with her 83 digs and 19 blocks while playing on the left side.
Both of this weekend's matches will be streamed on the Big Ten Network Plus service with start times of 7:00 PM on Friday evening (Purdue) and 1:00 PM on Sunday afternoon (Michigan State).
Friday will see the Hoosiers honor the 50th-anniversary of Title IX and the impact it's had on women's athletics in the United States.
