NEW PROVIDENCE, Bahamas – The Indiana Hoosiers men's golf team struggled to close out the round and sit seventh (314; +26) in the team standings after one round at Nexus Collegiate hosted by Auburn at the Albany Golf Club on Monday.

CHIP-INS
• Junior Noah Gillard paced the Hoosiers on a windy day with a 5-over 77 during the first round of competition. He matched the team lead with five birdie conversions, including three in a five-hole stretch from No. 3 to No. 7.

• Sophomore Clay Merchent tied Gillard's effort with five birdie putts, including three in his first six holes, but finished at 6-over 78 on the day.

• Senior Mitch Davis played a pair of birdies on his way to a 7-over 79, while sophomore Drew Salyers fired an 8-over 80 with three birdies. Fifth-year senior Ethan Shepherd rounded out the lineup at 10-over 82 with one birdie.

• Senior Harry Reynolds, who played as an individual, shot a 5-over 77 with one birdie conversion on No. 7. He is second among all players competing as individuals.
