Hoosiers Travel to Knoxville for Match Against Tennessee

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team is back on the road as they travel to Knoxville to take on Tennessee on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

After dropping their first match of the season, the Hoosiers have now won five of their last six matches.
Last week the Hoosiers secured wins against Western Michigan (5-0) and Bellarmine (4-0) this past weekend.
Lara Schneider (5-1) and Alexandra Staiculescu (4-1) lead the Hoosiers in singles matches this year.
As a team the Hoosiers have posted a record of 22-12 in dual match singles competition.
On the doubles side Indiana has combined for an 8-6 mark, led by Mila Mejic and Alexandra Staiculescu at 3-1 and Laura Masic and Lara Schneider at 3-2.
The Hoosiers return six players and added transfer Lara Schneider after she completed her freshman season at Florida State.
Schneider was ranked No. 25 in the 2020 class in the Tennis Recruiting Network and a five-star recruit. She graduated from Wando High School in 2020 and was ranked No. 1 in the girls 16 age division USTA South Region rankings in 2018.
Schneider and teammate Laura Masic went a perfect 6-0 at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship in the fall and qualified for the ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego.
