
Men’s DMR Sets New Program Record At Alex Wilson Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Indiana Track & Field wrapped its final meet of the regular season on Saturday. The men's distance medley relay highlighted the Alex Wilson Invitational as they set a new program record.
KEY MOMENTS
• Camden Marshall, Kenny Benton, Parker Raymond, and Ben Veatch set a new program record in the men's DMR with a time of 9:22.78. The quartet raced to third overall.
• The women's distance medley relay squad consisting of Bailey Hertenstein, Morgan Snow, Kelly Mindak, and Hannah Stoffel combined for a season best time of 11:02.64 to place fifth.
• Jake Gebhardt won the men's mile in a personal best time of 4:03.97 while Dustin Horter crossed fourth and captured a time of 4:05.99.
• On the women's side, Maddie Dalton secured a season best time of 4:45.51 to place fourth. Mikaela Ramirez saw a sixth place finish and a time of 4:56.07.
• Maria Anderson led the way in the women's 800m with a time of 2:07.70 and placed fourth overall. Shynae Deas clocked a time of 2:09.72 and finished in sixth. Jenna Barker and Elizabeth Stanhope finished back-to-back in eighth and ninth, respectively. Barker saw a time of 2:10.19 and Stanhope notched a time of 2:10.71.
• Maddy Pollard and Jayden Ulrich went 1-2 in the shot put. Pollard put a heave of 17.07m (56' 0") and Ulrich had a mark of 16.42m (53' 10.5").
• Sean Mockler won his third weight throw competition as he notched a mark of 21.26m (69' 9").
• Makayla Hunter took third in the weight throw with a mark of 17.77m (58' 3.75"). Hunter picked up fourth in the shot put with a mark of 14.48m (47' 6.25").
• Adam Strouf saw a mark of 17.14m (56' 3") and placed fifth overall.
NOTABLES
• Camden Marshall, Kenny Benton, Parker Raymond, and Ben Veatch's time of 9:22.78 is a Big Ten record and is No. 10 all-time in the NCAA. As far as this season, the Hoosiers have the sixth fastest time in the NCAA.
• The women's distance medley relay squad clocked a time of 11:02.64 which is the fifth best time in IU history.
• Jake Gebhardt recorded a personal best in the mile on Saturday afternoon with his time of 4:03.97.
• Sean Mockler's throw of 21.26m (69' 9") in the weight throw is now the second best in program history and was a personal record.
• Maria Anderson and Shynae Deas both picked up personal best in the 800m. Anderson recorded a time of 2:07.70 while Deas picked up a time of 2:09.72.
• On the men's side, Nick Couyoumjian saw a season best time of 1:50.27.
