Hoosiers Continue Schedule Against Yale, Marquette

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team will host Yale and Marquette this weekend at the IU Tennis Center.

LAST TIME OUT
The Hoosiers showed a lot of fight playing with only five student-athletes, but fell in a 5-2 match against Utah. Lara Schneider won her singles match at No. 1 singles and Alexandra Staiculescu added a point for the Hoosiers with her win at the No. 2 singles position.
The Hoosiers return six players and added transfer Lara Schneider after she completed her freshman season at Florida State.
Schneider was ranked No. 25 in the 2020 class in the Tennis Recruiting Network and a five-star recruit. She graduated from Wando High School in 2020 and was ranked No. 1 in the girls 16 age division USTA South Region rankings in 2018.
Schneider and teammate Laura Masic went a perfect 6-0 at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship in the fall and qualified for the ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego.
Junior Rose Hu won six of her seven singles matches during the fall season for the Hoosiers.
Fellow junior Mila Mejic won four singles matches during the fall season.
