INDIANAPOLIS – Four Hoosiers competed as individuals in the Butler Spring Invitational played at the Highland Golf and Country Club on Monday.

Play was adjusted due to cold temperatures and frost in the area. With the later start, the second round of the day was scratched.

Top Indiana Player: Robbie Bender III – 73 (+3)

CHIP-INS
• Sophomore Robbie Bender III led the quartet of Hoosiers in the opening round with a 3-over 73. His round included a team-high birdies on No. 3, No. 6, No. 8 and No. 18.

• Fifth-year senior Evan Yakubov turned in a solid round of 4-over 74 and carded a birdie on No. 17, his second hole of the afternoon.

• Junior Eric Berggren shot a 5-over 75 and holed out birdies on No. 6 and No. 10.

• Freshman Ethan Chelf handed in his scorecard at 7-over 77. His debut round of the week included back-to-back birdies on No. 6 and No. 7.

• All four Hoosiers competed as individuals.
