Indiana Heads South for Colleton River Collegiate

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's golf team will play in its third tournament of the spring slate in the Colleton River Collegiate hosted by the Michigan State Spartans, the team Indiana defeated in the title match of the Big Ten Match Play Championships in early February.
The event will begin on March 7 from the Jack Nicklaus Course at the Colleton River Club in Bluffton, S.C.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
• Four programs in the field rank inside the top-45 of the latest GolfWeek rankings, headlined by South Florida (No. 26). Michigan State (No. 28), Ohio State (No. 36) and Indiana (No. 41) round out the highest ranked teams in the field.
• The Hoosiers will be paired with the Memphis Tigers and Ohio State Buckeyes during the first day of play.
• The tournament will feature 36 holes of play on Monday followed by the final 18 to be played on Tuesday. The first round is scheduled for an 8:15 a.m. ET shotgun start.
• Tuesday's final round will tee off at 7:45 a.m. ET with rolling tee times.
TEAM NOTES
• Indiana won the Big Ten Match Play Championships team title for the second time in as many seasons. The Hoosiers took down Penn State (3.5-1.5), Purdue (3-2) and Michigan State (3-2) in consecutive matches to earn the win.
• Senior Mitch Davis won all three of his individual matches against the Big Ten field to secure the conference's player of the week honors on Feb. 10.
• Sophomore Drew Salyers has twice been named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week (Sept. 8 and Sept. 22) after winning his first tournament as a member of the Cream and Crimson at the Hoosier Collegiate and earned a second-straight top-5 finish at the Fighting Illini Invitational.
• The Hoosiers check in at No. 41 in the latest GolfWeek Collegiate Rankings.
