3/6/2022 12:58:00 PM | Men's Swimming and Diving, Women's Swimming and Diving
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Indiana swimming and diving has 14 athletes competing in the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships from March 7-9 inside Donald B. Canham Natatorium.
10 female and four male divers will attempt to qualify for the national meet in the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform dive competitions. A set number of athletes will automatically qualify by finishing amongst the top performers in each event. An athlete with an automatic bid can also qualify for other events by finishing top-12 in those events.
"The entire team has qualified for this first round of the NCAA championships," IU diving coach Drew Johansen said. "We are focused on finishing dives and advancing with hopes of building some momentum towards Atlanta."

INDIANA DIVING PROVIDES BOOST AT BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Indiana diving totaled nine medals between the men's and women's Big Ten Championships and was the only program to have a top-three finisher in every diving event. Diving contributed significant points to IU's title in the men's championship and third-place finish in the women's competition.
In Indiana's fourth men's Big Ten Championship in six years, IU had two medalists in all three diving events. Senior Andrew Capobianco swept the triad, becoming the first athlete to do so since Purdue's David Boudia in 2011.
HOOSIER DIVERS WIN BIG TEN WEEKLY AWARDS
Five Hoosier divers won Big Ten weekly awards during the regular season. On the women's side, three different athletes received Big Ten Diver of the Week honors: Anne Fowler, Tarrin Gilliland and Kristen Hayden.
Freshman Carson Tyler led the team with three weekly honors, twice as the diver of the week and once as the Big Ten Freshman of the Week. Capobianco won his fifth-career diver of the week title in December.
