Hoosiers Fall in Series Finale to No. 10 Northwestern

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana and No. 10 Northwestern were tied 3-3 through four innings, but the Wildcats prevailed 11-3 on Sunday at Andy Mohr Field.
Key Moments
• In the second inning Brittany Ford hit a home run to right field to put the Hoosiers up 1-0.
• The Wildcats scored three in the third inning to take a 3-1 lead.
• Brooke Benson and Cora Bassett doubled to start off the third for Indiana. Taylor Minnick reached on an error that scored both Bassett and Benson to pull the Hoosiers even at 3-3.
• In the fourth inning the Hoosiers loaded the bases, but left three runners on base.
• Northwestern scored three in the fifth to take a 6-3 lead and added one in the sixth and four in the seventh inning.

• Indiana dropped to 23-17 overall and 6-9 in the Big Ten. Northwestern improved to 34-7 and 15-2 in the Big Ten.
• Senior Natalie Foor made her first start of the season after coming back from injury.
