FRENCH LICK, Ind. – The Indiana men's golf team finished ninth at the 2022 Big Ten Men's Golf Championship. The Hoosiers shot a 17-over 305 at The Pete Dye Course on Sunday.

Illinois (885; +21) escaped with the team victory, narrowly topping Michigan State (886; +22) and Maryland (887; +23).

CHIP-INS
• Senior Mitch Davis connected on three birdies in his first six holes played and finished the round at 77 (+5). For the tournament, Davis posted the low Indiana score at 221 (77-69-77; +7) to finish tied for 14th place.

• Sophomore Clay Merchent totaled three birdies on the day, including back-to-back conversions on No. 3 and No. 4 to play a scorecard of 79 (+7). He concluded the tournament at 225 (71-75-79; +9), the second-lowest three-round score of the weekend for Indiana. He tied for 21st.

• Fifth-year senior Ethan Shepherd finished the final round at 3-over 75 with birdies on No. 4 and No. 12. He tied for 45th overall after shooting a 230 (73-82-75; +14) for the weekend.

• Sophomore Drew Salyers circled a pair of birdies on his 2-over 74 scorecard on Sunday. He tied for 48th in the tournament with a three-round tally of 231 (75-82-74; +15).

• Senior Harry Reynolds played back-to-back birdies on No. 3 and No. 4 and concluded the round at 79 (+7). He finished t-52nd overall at 233 (74-79-80; +17).
