Hoosiers Set for Palm Beach Gardens Regional

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's golf team will compete in the 2022 NCAA Palm Beach Gardens Regional at the PGA National Resort – Champion Course from May 16-18.

• Five programs in the field rank inside the top-30 of the latest GolfWeek rankings, headlined by Vanderbilt (No. 3). Florida (No. 10), Notre Dame (No. 15), Florida State (No. 22), and Purdue (No. 26), round out the remaining top-30 teams in the field.
• The tournament will consist of 54 holes with single rounds played daily.
• The Hoosiers will be paired with San Diego and Davidson in the opening round. The trio will tee off at 8:55 a.m. ET from the 10th tee.
• The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team from each regional site (six individuals total) will advance to the NCAA Championships, set for May 27-June 1 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
TEAM NOTES
• This season marks the 11th NCAA Regional appearance for Indiana under the guidance of head coach Mike Mayer and the second time in as many seasons. The Hoosiers finished ninth in the Tallahassee Regional in 2021.
• Indiana won the Big Ten Match Play Championships team title for the second time in as many seasons. The Hoosiers took down Penn State (3.5-1.5), Purdue (3-2) and Michigan State (3-2) in consecutive matches to earn the win.
• Senior Mitch Davis won all three of his individual matches against the Big Ten field to secure the conference's player of the week honors on Feb. 10.
• Sophomore Drew Salyers has twice been named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week (Sept. 8 and Sept. 22) after winning his first tournament as a member of the Cream and Crimson at the Hoosier Collegiate and earned a second-straight top-5 finish at the Fighting Illini Invitational.
• The Hoosiers check in at No. 60 in the latest GolfWeek Collegiate Rankings.
