No. 8 Indiana Opens Conference Play at No. 22 Ohio State

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Coming off back-to-back ranked victories, eighth-ranked Indiana men's soccer (3-1-1) will get yet another chance when it visits No. 22 Ohio State (4-0-2) in its Big Ten Conference opener on Sunday (Sept. 17) at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
The match will be streamed live on the Big Ten Plus digital platform with kickoff set for 2 p.m. ET.
SETTING THE SCENE
• Indiana is riding a three-match winning streak and is undefeated in four games. In its last two matches, IU has knocked off ranked opponents, No. 9 Akron (2-0) and Butler (2-1).
• Sunday's match is the Big Ten opener for both teams. Last season, the Hoosiers went 5-3-0 in league play to finish third in the standings.
• Redshirt senior Ryan Wittenbrink has earned seven points in five matches. He scored two goals in two matches to open the season before adding an assist versus Akron. Then, on Wednesday, he had the winning goal at Butler.
ABOUT THE BUCKEYES
• Ohio State comes into the match with an undefeated 4-0-2 record. OSU's last result was a 3-3 draw with Akron.
• In 2021, Ohio State had a 6-9-1 record with a 2-6-1 conference mark.
• The Buckeyes are led by fifth-year head coach Brian Maisonnueve, who played at IU from 1991-94 and won the Hermann Trophy in his senior season. Maisonnueve has compiled a 21-4-7 record at OSU.

• Indiana has dominated the all-time series with Ohio State, owning a 47-5-4 record against the Buckeyes.
