
Indiana Finishes Islanders Classic with 3-0 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Indiana Volleyball team (4-2, 0-0) completed a perfect Saturday after taking down the hosts, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, in straight sets to finish out the weekend in the Lone Star State.
The Hoosiers dominated from the opening serve, jumping all over the Islanders in a 25-18, 25-19, 25-14 victory on Saturday evening.
A 7-0 start to the opening frame set the tone for the Hoosiers which held the hosts from reaching 20 points in all three sets.
Mady Saris (10 kills) led the way offensively with Morgan Geddes (nine kills) and Candela Alonso-Corcelles (eight kills) aiding in the IU attack.
Saris has now reached 10+ kills in each of the last four matches, the longest such streak since she did so in seven-consecutive matches last September.
As a team, the Hoosiers hit .329 across the three sets with 41 kills, nine total blocks and 40 assists.
Despite falling in Friday's opening match to SMU, IU bounced back to sweep both games on Saturday and push the season's record to 4-2.
