
Indiana Returns Home for Gladstein Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Following a solid opening weekend at the Commodore Challenge, the Indiana Track and Field teams return to Bloomington for the first of back-to-back home meets to close out the month of January.
A total of 60 athletes will compete attached for the Hoosiers while eight freshmen compete unattached in their respective events.
The men will compete across 14 different events while the women partake in 16 of the weekend's events.
Action begins on Friday afternoon with the Women's Weight Throw at 3:30 PM and will begin on Saturday at 10:45 AM with the Women's Shot Put.
Sprints and Hurdles:
The sprints group will be busy this weekend with Trelee Banks-Rose, Ray Brodie, Christopher Grant and Antonio Laidler all doubling in the 60 meters and 200 meters.
Nile Brown, Olivia Gee, Kylee Poulton and Alyssa Robinson will do the same on the women's side.
Laidler has started the season with consistent times including season's bests of 6.74 at 60 meters and 21.50 at 200 meters, both top-three times in the Big Ten this season.
Robinson broke the school record in the 300 meters at the Hoosier Open and clocked a 7.50 to open her season in the 60 meters.
This will be the first time at 200 meters for Christopher Grant and David Olowookere this season.
Jumps:
Serena Bolden returns to action this weekend and will double back in the Long Jump and Triple Jump alongside Kelly Moran.
Bolden and Paola Fernandez-Sola have both been out past six meters to begin the season and rank in the top-25 nationally in the event.
Grayson Rolen, Taylor Schoonveld and Eli Crouch will all compete in the High Jump this weekend. Crase Bergman and Kynton Grays will be in the Long Jump on the men's side.
Throws:
Makayla Hunter, Noah Koch and Emily Herndon will compete in the Shot Put and Weight Throw while the rest of the throwers stay in one event.
Sean Mockler, Hunter Smith and Tyler Reyna will throw the weight while Jayden Ulrich will be back in the ring for the Shot Put.
Last weekend, Ulrich became the fifth Hoosier in program history to eclipse 17 meters in the Shot Put indoors and currently ranks sixth in the NCAA in the event.
Pole Vault:
All six pole vaulters are set to compete with Taylor Jarosinski, Jessica Mercier, Nathan Stone, Riley Johnston, Tyler Carrel and Tyler Sierks set to hit the runway.
Stone has started the season in fantastic form. The runaway winner in both competitions so far, he cleared 5.40m/17-8.5 at the Hoosier Open and is the early Big Ten leader in the event.
Distance and Mid-Distance:
There will be nine total athletes running the 800 meters including Jenna Barker, Maddie Dalton and Keelan Grant. Parker Raymond will be back in action at 600 meters.
Seven athletes will partake in the Mile including Skylar Stidam and Mikaela Ramirez.
