Indiana falls to No. 6 Iowa

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ––– The Indiana Field Hockey team lost to No. 6 Iowa, 2-0, at home on Friday afternoon.
Iowa applied pressure early, scoring both goals in the second period. The Hoosiers were able to slow them down in the second half but were unable to find the back of the cage.
With the loss, the Hoosiers are 5-9 on the season and 0-5 in conference play.
KEY MOMENTS
• Junior goalkeeper Arabella Loveridge started the game strong, recording five of her seven saves in the first half.
• Milly Short recorded the first goal of the game to give Iowa the lead. She was assisted by Dionne van Aalsum and Annika Herbine.
• Iowa would push their lead to 2-0 after Hillary Cox scored off a penalty stroke in the 23rd minute of play.
• The Hoosiers had multiple opportunities to score, recording seven shots through the second half. IU was unable to put one in the back of the cage.
