Indiana Women's Tennis Set for Weekend Clash with Xavier

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's tennis will face Xavier at the IU Tennis Center on Saturday morning.
SERIES HISTORY
• Indiana is 7-3 all-time against the Musketeers. In 2021, the Hoosiers dropped the match, 5-0.

LAST TIME OUT
• The Hoosiers went 1-1 on their first road match of the season. Indiana defeated Cornell, 4-3, on dropped the match at Yale, 4-1.
• Graduate Saby Nihalani is now 3-0 in singles matches on the season. She has won her last two singles matches in tiebreaker sets.
• Redshirt sophomore Lara Schneider is 2-0 in singles matches after dominating performances against Cincinnati and West Virginia.
ABOUT THE HOOSIERS
• The Hoosiers are 4-2 to start the season.
• Redshirt-junior Mila Mejic leads the team with four singles wins on the season. The Serbian native is also 3-1 alongside doubles partner Lauren Lemonds.
•The two graduates Nihalani and Lemonds follow Mejic with a 3-1 record in singles matches on the season picking up a win against Cornell, 6-0, 6-4.
• Sophomore Lara Schneider is a standout on the squad. She was named All-Big Ten selection finishing the last season with a 19-7 overall singles record and a 21-9 overall doubles record. Schneider competed in the No. 1 singles spot in all but one Big Ten match and went 4-3 in conference play.
• Senior Xiaowei "Rose" Hu won six of her seven singles matches while classmate Mila Mejic earned four single match victories during the fall season.
