Hoosiers Close Out Weekend in Chicago

CHICAGO, Ill. - Top-tier talent was on display in Chicago this weekend with a number of Hoosiers dropping personal bests and program top-10 marks.
The last two-day meet of the regular season during the indoor campaign proceeded next Saturday's Alex Wilson Invitational ahead of the Big Ten Indoor Championships.
Antonio Laidler produced a prolific time over 200 meters, throwing down a mark of 21.01 to better his personal best of 21.14. His run was the fifth fastest in the Big Ten this season and remains the third best in program history.
Jessica Mercier cleared 4.07m/13-4.25 in the Pole Vault, finishing in fourth on the day in Chicago.
Jayden Ulrich produced another 17-meter mark in the Shot Put, putting the shot out to 17.03m/55-10.5.
Mahogany Jenkins had an outstanding day in the High Jump, matching her personal best with a second-attempt clearance at 1.81m/5-11.25.
She went for three attempts at 1.84m/6-0.5, a would-be personal best, but couldn't get over the mark on any of the tries.
On the men's side, Grayson Rolen was over the bar at 2.04m/6-8.25. He missed on all three attempts at a would-be personal best of 2.08m/6-9.75.
Keefer Soehngen lowered his personal best at 800 meters with a big run of 1:50.58. Nick Couyoumjian finished in 1:53.33.
Jake Gebhardt dropped another personal best across 3000 meters for the second time this season. After running 7:52.97 at the Indiana Relays, he ran 7:52.67 at the Windy City Invite, the second-best mark in the Big Ten this season.
Sarah Schmitt debuted at 3000 meters in her final campaign as a Hoosier, running a 9:16.98 to finish fifth in Chicago. Her time is the sixth-fastest in the Big Ten this season.
Nathan Stone cleared the bar at 5.38m/17-7.5 in the Pole Vault at the Windy City Invite. He attempted three tries at 5.48m/17-11.75, a would-be personal best, but couldn't hit the mark.
Dustin Horter led a pair of Hoosiers to personal bests in the Mile in Boston on Saturday. He ran 4:02.77 with Austin Haskett coming through in 4:04.01.
