Hoosiers Dominate Singles in 5-2 Win Over Belmont

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's tennis (8-3) defeated the Belmont Bruins Sunday afternoon, 5-2, at the IU Tennis Center.
The Bruins took the doubles point in the two and three doubles (6-1) and three (6-4).
Indiana dominated in the singles matches, winning all but No. 3 singles that went into a super tiebreaker. Freshman Nicole Teodosescu got the first point for the team, quickly winning 6-0, 6-0 in No. 5 singles.
Redshirt-junior Mila Mejic and graduate Saby Nihalani also had impressive outings both winning 6-4, 6-1.
Graduate Lauren Lemonds was the one to win the match for the Hoosiers, bringing in the fourth point. Lara Schneider followed right behind, winning 6-1, 7-6 (7-2).
Indiana clinches their fifth win at home this season to hold a 5-1 record at the IU Tennis Center.
