Hoosiers Close Out Weekend at Meyo Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Indiana Track and Field teams put up big marks on Saturday in South Bend, closing out the weekend with numerous top-10 marks in program history.
Jayden Ulrich and Makayla Hunter produced big performances in the Weight Throw, just a day after dominating the Shot Put in South Bend.
Hunter threw a personal best of 19.11m/62-8.5 which keeps her in 10th in program history and moves her into No. 11 in the Big Ten.
Ulrich capitalized on her second throw, launching a season's best of 19.15m/62-10 to finish sixth on the afternoon and moving into the top-10 in the Big Ten on the season.
Serena Bolden jumped out to 12.20m/40-0.5 in the Triple Jump, her mark falling just short of her season's best in the event.
Maddie Russin stormed to a personal best of 2:09.36 to win the 800 meters. It marked her second-consecutive week bettering her personal best in the event.
Antonio Laidler took a runner-up finish in the 60 meters, clocking a 6.70 in the finals. Christopher Grant came in fourth, running a 6.74.
Camden Marshall ran a big indoor personal best of 1:48.83 across 800 meters to take the victory in South Bend. His mark moves him into No. 4 in program history in the half-mile and would be among the top-five times in the Big Ten entering the day.
Noah Koch continued his big weekend with a massive throw of 20.88m/68-6 to finish second in the Weight Throw. His mark moves him into No. 4 in school history and would be among the top-eight throws in the conference entering the day.
Sean Mockler threw 19.72m/64-8.5 while Adam Strouf (18.26m/59-11, PB) and Hunter Smith (17.23m/56-6.5) followed suit.
IU ran a season's best in the Men's 4x400 relay with a time of 3:13.28 with legs from Shaton Vaughn, Keefer Soehngen, Camden Marshall and Parker Raymond.
The Hoosiers return to action next weekend. A majority of the team will head to the Windy City Invite hosted by Wisconsin in Chicago. A contingent of runners will also race at the Hoosier Hills Invite in Bloomington.
