BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The NCAA Track and Field season is winding down to the final stages of the regular season before the postseason picks up at the end of February.
Already holding some strong performances on the season, the Indiana Track and Field teams will aim to add to the collection with a split weekend of meets on Friday and Saturday.
A majority of the team will travel to the Windy City Invite with others staying home to compete in the Hoosier Hills meet on Friday.
One of the final full weekends before the Big Ten Indoor Championships (February 24-25) will see a host of Hoosiers aim to improve season-best marks heading down the homestretch of the indoor season.
LAST TIME OUT:
Indiana sent a collection of runners and throwers to the Meyo Invitational on the campus of Notre Dame.
The throwers had a big weekend, led by the trio of Noah Koch, Makayla Hunter and Jayden Ulrich.

NEWS AND NOTES
Marshalll's Hot Start
Following a strong Cross Country season that saw him finish top-25 in the Big Ten, sophomore Camden Marshall has continued that success on the track. The Big Ten Indoor Champion at 800 meters last year, he opened the season by besting the school record in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:21.64.
To follow that up, Marshall joined the elite sub 4-minute mile club at IU alongside teammate Jake Gebhardt, crossing the line in 3:59.30 to move into 10th all-time in program history.
He ran a 1:48.83 across 800 meters at the Meyo Invitational for a new personal best indoors, moving into fourth in program history.
Stone's Dominance
Already one of the best pole vaulters in program history, Nathan Stone has started to challenge for the best marks ever seen by a Hoosier.
He has opened the season by winning the first four meets in convincing fashion and has attempted for PR's every time before falling just short.
Already a three-time Big Ten Champion, Stone has big plans for his senior season in 2023.
Barker's Early Success
Jenna Barker has gotten off to a blazing start in her final season for IU.
Across the first four meets, she's set personal bests in the 800 meters (2:08.91), Mile (4:42.74) and 3000 meters (9:21.46) and was once the Big Ten leader in the Mile.
Laidler Putting in Work
Antonio Laidler has been busy for the Hoosiers in the early portions of the season and is off to a strong start.
He won the 60 meters and 200 meters at the Gladstein Invitational, IU Relays and Commodore Challenge and ran on the 4x400 relay team.
At the Meyo Invitational, he threw down a 6.70 in the 60 meters to move into third in program history.
He owns season's bests of 6.73 and 21.50 in the early portions of the season and has the potential to run on the 4x400 relay teams and Distance Medley Relay teams.
